    Rockford 5.25 components

Well, today i was with a friend of mine driving around in his newly lifted truck. Just giving it a test drive. Then, he turns up his stereo and his speakers soud like ***. The are rockford 5.25 components. He is powering them with a 600watt 4 ch. rockford amp. The guys at the local shop tuned it all and idk whats wrong. Any ideas

well, is a pioneer primier, it has monster rca's and a good ground strait to the seat frame. power and ground r both 8awg to a 600 watt amp. And yes, they deliver nothing but distortion. They also dont get very loud.

have u checked all the settings on the amp/deck? turn off the bass to the speakers, and play around with the gain turn it all the way down and deck to tlike 3/4 vol (wat most ppl recommend) then turn gain up till hits some distortion then back down a lil bit to no distortion, give this a try and let me know the results
