    JL 300/4 1000/1 3 10w3's 1 set of 5.25 components

I have a set of VR525 Components that I am putting in the doors of my ext. cab Dakota powered by a JL300/4. I also have a set of Co-axial VR525's that I decided even if I spent the time wiring them up in the back of the cab w/ the 3 10w3's powered by a 1000/1 you wouldn't hear them.

I had this set up(4 speakers and the subs in a trunk) in my Volvo but now picked up a truck that I'd like to throw all this stuff into. Is a 5 1/4 going to keep up now that the subs are right behind my head instead of in a trunk?

totally depends on your listen habits and personal preferences. me, i invest the most money and time on my front speakers. anyway you can add a 6.5" midbass up front? maybe mod the door to accept a midbass and move the VR525 to the kicks?

i'm not a fan of putting speakers behind me, but it would increase overall volume. you'd still hear the speakers behind you, they might not make it sound better, but you'll hear them.

have you been helped by me? i'd love to know. shoot me a PM.
