    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_7445_JBL+P550C.html

I'm thinking about getting these for my car. I'm redoing my whole setup. Does anyone own these, how are they for clarity?

I think you'll see a definite improvement, from the kicker 6X8s, but I would suggest getting some scosche adapter plates and running some 6" PG RSDs that you can get for $70 shipped.

    Re: JBL 5 1/4" comps

I'm currently running the 6.5in versions of those. (I found them 60$ a set on closeout at a local shop around here.)

The only complaint I have is the tweeters are a little too bright for my tastes. But the woofer is pretty beefy, and it can produce nice low end if you have a well dampened door.

I'm running 2 sets off of an Alpine 100x4. I have the filter set at 60hz, and they will go painfully loud.
