Re: Alpine Comps
I like alpine for subs, HU's and amps but not a big fan of Alpine comps. Try and listen to speakers by Focal, Hertz, DLS, Rainbow, Image Dynamics, Cdt audio.

Re: Alpine Comps
The S and E are the lower end stuff.I got to listen to both the R's and the X's side by side and I chose the X's.To me they sound very clean and "open".I have them powered with 200 watts per side and they take it with no problem.I like them alot.I got them for 204.00 OTD.

Re: Alpine Comps
i ran the type s for awhile and for the money they cost off ebay you cant beat them...but the type r's are better by far..

Only the X sets are worth your money.
