Has anyone tried these? I have heard some good things about them but havent had a chance to listen to them in person.

I suggest the Revs too, I had the 6.5 version of those Rockfords, not bad speakers at all, but as mention above, a little harsh. Tweeter was rough in my opinion, but the set had a lot of midbass.

My PG RSDs have a better SQ IMO, compared to them, just as much midbass, and cost about half of their retail.

they will be my next set of comps. those or the new version but heard them several times and really like how they sound. can take a good amount of power from what i hear too

I agree though, the midbass driver looks like a mini sub, like a T2 or something lol. I forgot to mention, they can take some power passive. I was pushing my set with 300w RMS and they took it like a champ, just have to be careful with that much power.

I would suggest at least 200RMS to get them going, there stock rating is a little low.

Well, I did it, finally pulled the trigger on the pioneer revs. Should be getting these installed within the next couple of weeks.

meh, pioneer revs are good, but the RF power series comps are great comps too when matched with rockford power series amps. oh well, enjoy your revs
