Help me understand component and co-axial speaks

what are the difference between component and co-axial speaker
would it be bad 2 have 3 pair of component and no co-axial
because i was going 2 put a pair of components in all my doors and my rear deck is that a bad idea...or should i just put a pair of components in my front doors and my rear deck and have a pair of co-axial in my back doors

Do you have multiple stereos playing the same source @ home? Unless your goal is to get loud, one set of speakers for a given frequency range is the way to go. Use your budget for the rears to get a capable set of comps up front.

I wouldn't put anything in the rear deck, let your sub bass filter into the cabin (via the empty holes). If you insist on rear fill , a set of coax's in the rear doors would suffice.

What aspect of the music exactly would you like your car's rear window and roof to hear more clearly.
