What's new in the ID CXS64 version 2?

I just noticed on WoofersEtc that the comps I'm running are now available in V2.

I bought mine right before Thanksgiving and the V2 wasn't an option. What the??

So what's new in the CXS64 V2 over the previous model?

Everything has been improved from the tweeter to the mid to the crossover.

the v2 are similar to the new xs line. the cone material is the same as them. as is the basket design. they also use the new tweet the xs28.

Is the new tweeter better than the NX30?

The new V2's have the new XS28's that are much better quality compared to the NX30's. They are the same tweeters that come in the top of the line XS65 comps.

i'm not gonna lie i have no clue. i've never even heard any of the ID tweets before i jumped straight into the horns.

I spoke with Matt @ ID. It seems the tweeter is supposed to work better with the mid now. Improved casing structure and some other things. I think it's more about design than a stark difference.
