Pioneer TS-C520 prs versus Alpine SPX-13REF or JL Audio C5

    Thoughts?

I listen to rock, rap, techno, classical, and jazz. I'm looking for SQ. I have a JL audio 10w6 powered by a JL G1700 amp installed to handle the bass and a pioneer premiere 600ub headunit.

Which of those three would you pick? Thanks in advance!

PRS and the C5's would be a toss up . The PRS's seem to have a more profound midbass then the C5's . Id go with the PRS's .. Send them 70-80 rms and they will shine .. Also make sure you have the door deadened well and try to seal them up .

Do the Alpine Type X compare?

Mehh, not as detailed and dynamic as the PRS's . They seemed a bit bright when I was demo'ing them and seemed a bit hard to tame the mids. But if you were to get the type x pros thats a different story ..

Cool! Thanks for the info. The x-Pros are way pricy compared to the Pioneers and the JL's (But If I can get a deal are those the ones to go for?)

Any other thoughts between these two?
