I have 2 sets of pro's in my doors (passive) now. I was just thinking of getting the id's and going active with a pioneer860 and planet audio hvt754. fyi this setup is not in the g35. it is in a 2dr tahoe with 4 15" re se's and 2 aq1200d's

Try the pros active, cross over at about 3.5k
The ID mids are good, but require a 2.5k crossover,
and really want about a 2k. To my ear, higher active
crossover points on a mid that can keep up sound better.
The more of the vocal range that you can keep on the mid
the better to my ears.
IMO the ID mids would be best in a 3 way setup, but by the time
you start dropping the money required to do 3-way right, your options
open up a bit.

Thanks mcsoul! How much "better" are the pro's active (as opposed to passive?

My problem with the pro's is I have to cross the woofers high if I pour the power to them![]()

I will go active then. The pros sound great in my g but my custom panels in the ho sound like shat. I think I went a little on the weak side with the glass. I can't cut the sheet metal to enclose the pros because of the window motor. I am experiencing a lot of 200hz distortion (thats what it sounds like). and i just cannot eq it out. any suggestions?

I built mine, did you build yours?
It just sounds like an excessively high 200hz spike. when I decrease 200hz on the eq it "quiets" but will not go away. My guess is a flex in the fiberglass which is the mounting side of the drivers.
