Recommend me Quality Coax's for under $150 6.5"

I'm looking for a pair of 6.5" coaxial's for my gf's rav4. They're going to be power by a hu for now. I would go with comp's and an amp but i don't have the budget for it at the moment (unless it's feasible for under $200 with wiring and accessories).

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks in advance

Re: Recommend me Quality Coax's for under $150 6.5"

according to this site the front speakers are 6 3/4"

    http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/a...r%2fMyCar.aspx

Is this possibly an error? Will 6.5" speakers fit?

    Also, any opinions on these?

Re: Recommend me Quality Coax's for under $150 6.5"

CTX6.5 speakers are designed to fit into oversized 6 1/2", 6 3/4", and 7" speaker so it's kinda a multipurpose speaker. with this design there wasn't really a need to make a 7" speaker and with factory speakers now being oversized 6.5s this was a cure all. now if you need exactly a 6.5 there's always the http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...Product_ID=911 which is just a 6.5 speaker

Will the CTX65's sound terrible without an amp? It may be a few months on a hu

no they'll be fine w/o an amp. the ctx is ID's less expensive line designed for the budget minded consumer who's just looking to replace the factory speakers.

Sounds perfect. Is woofersetc.com my best bet for finding a cheap price? I'll have to ship them to Canada
