    Researching new components

I had Focal 165K2P's, liked them just after a while tweeter was just to bright (harsh) for my taste. Listened to the Dyns, not the esotar tweeter though. Dyn's where a little too mellow for me. So I moved to the DLS's, but from the research I've done if you're going to spend the money there are some better options. Morel's, Hertz, and Hybrid Audio. I'm I at least in the right ball park.

    Re: Researching new components

DLS has to be more mellow in my book than the Dyn....

Horseman did you mean the XS65? He is running a 6.5" set up... Honestly.. I don't think these compete with any of the others that he has listed..

I would take the Morel Dotech Ovation 6 next depending on what your budget is.. or maybe bump it up to the Hybrid Ovation 6\

If not Morel, lol, look into the Hertz MLK165.

Those TN52 tweeters can be harsh if you don't know how to use them, other than that they are nothing short of awesome. Yes, on axis.

    Already sold them. sorry

As far as budget, I'm flexible. I will not buy $5000 comps, but you know willing to pay for good equipment.

As far as brands I mentioned I have no Dealers near me so I'm trying to narrow down the list with research to a few to drive and audition or meet with other that will allow me to listen to theirs.

ive audition DLS 3 way in my friends car , pretty cool front stage effect if you aim it right. Tweeters is not harsh at all .Their sound also add some highs on the tweeters to make u see more detail. Hertz tweets are kind of forward and less mellow than the dyns. treble is more crisps. I heard morel is pretty good in their higher end line so you must check it out.

My K2Ps are awesome. They gotta be properly installed or else they'll sound like crap.
