2 way vs 3 way component set

Hi guys,

Im new to board but I want to know you guys opinions on 2 way - 3 way component sets. They will be getting 150w per side. I have been debating on getting the Focal Utopia splits or getting the Rockford FNQ 3 splits. I do like the Focal 3 way splits but i dont want to spend that much on splits heh.

do you want to know what we like or our opinions on 2 way vs. 3 way? the focals are awesome by the way. that is just a personal preferance though. get what sounds good to you.

i feel that a 3 way component system offers more coverage over all sound fields. it gives you more of a softer and complete sound. most of the 2 way components that i have worked with give you a sharp sound. then again, powering a 2 way system will be much easier than a 3 way system. it all depends on what you want to spend and what you want to hear.
