    silk or titanium?

    can someone please explain the difference between the 2? are kicker tweeter good? wha are some other good tweeters that i can buy? and where would i get them? what size would be good 1'' or 3/4?

    Different sound from the tweeter if it has a silk or titanium dome.

    Titanium will have a metally harsh sound. Silk will have a softer sound. Both can sound good. It is personal preference. As for size it's up to you. I would get the biggest tweeter you can fit. And Kicker is not known for tweeters, but they do make decent equipment.

    Thats all personal preference...

    Listen to a bunch and look for characteristics that you like.

    I guess this is where MB Quart went wrong...although, listening to some new Q-Line and Premium speakers recently was drastically different than before - I actually liked the tweeters. Im probably an idiot though, because they probably didnt change anything from last year.

    I have titanium tweeters in my rear and silk in the front and I personally feel the sound is cleaner and more realistic out of the silk tweeters.

    I was told 6 months. so 6-7 months probably. they will be amung the 2004 lineup.
