i guess your right for $300 you can pretty much get any speakers you want if you shop around.
There are much better speakers out there for the price of the Kenwoods. And I want to know what his TOTAL budget is for comps and amp. Because that Alpine he's looking at is only big enough to amp one pair of comps. If he wants to amp the rear fill, he needs a bigger amp that he won't have to bridge.
