home audio tweeters
This question goes out to anyone who's well acquainted with home audio products and high-end tweeters.
alright, Dynaudio, peerless, scanspeak, vifa, seas, audax, etc... most of their high-end tweeters (regardless of soft, silk, titanium domes) have a fairly large "disc" that surrounds the actual dome. Does this part play a role in delivering quality sounds, as are horns with compression drivers?
