Running 6.5 components off of HU

I just got a new HU and it completely rules. Now I need new speakers, and I don't want to buy/mess with an amp to run them.

I'm looking for a 6.5 component set that will run well/loud off of 20W RMS.

Impossible? I hope not.....

you'll need more power for comps. you'll need more power even for certain coax's. 20 watts it just not enough for anything but possibly tweeters.

I built my box for my sub today.

Spent waaay too much money this weekend on that/sub/amp.

if I get a 2x75w amp would that be enough?

Then some Phoenix Gold RSD's? Or whats another decent affordable brand?

2x75 will be okay for the rsd's but i'd recommend a bit more.

I've got a nice Alpine I can ship you for $67. it's 60 watts per ch RMS, 2 channels.


If your new HU will run active? You could get the Pioneer Revs, run active using the four channel amp in the hu. It will sound good if you cross it over 80hz.

I did it for a guy with a Panasonic HU and it sounded really good. It was a Panasonic with the built in class D amp that puts out like 55 watts rms x4

I'm just saying it can be done until he gets a nice amp.
