    Pioneer Premier PRS Component Set

I have heard alot of good things about these speakers. All I am wondering is do they live up to the hype?

Check out CJ's review over at diyma. Great set, especially if you are planning on going active. Keep in mind the guys over there are hard-core SQ guys, so don't let some of the comments sway you.

I've heard then on 2x75w rms, 2x100w rms, and 2x150w rms and they sounded really good with all of them.

Re: Pioneer Premier PRS Component Set

I found them very sharp but the setup/tune wasnt the best id seen if you like pioneer and cant afford a set of high ends they look like a good buy but the tuning will have to be spot on in my opinion to get rid of the sharpness of the highs although you may like it like that

Re: Pioneer Premier PRS Component Set

I was very happy with mine. Very hard to beat the dollar/performance ratio in a component set.

Thank you for that link. I'd been wanting to run them active but didn't know where to start with the cross-over points.

Cool. Willing to give us a comparative review of passive vs active?

Sure, they will be going in a different vehicle, but I should be able to get the doors deadened just as well as the doors were in the Trailblazer. I'll have to buy another amp first though.
