    How much power/watts can an alpine type r really take?

    there are factors.

    Box, clipping.

    My buddy has 2 12"s running off 400watts each, they take it no prob. I think their RMS is 500 a piece though.

    thay are some good subs. my friend had one 10 and he said he had 1000rms on it.
