Morel Supremo Vs Hertz Mlk 165

alright, here it goes. i think we have a new company out that's competing with higher priced sq components that are better over all. the msrp on the MLK 165's are $999 and the MOREL SUPREMO's are $ 1,199. i read two reviews by two different sound specialist in this months publication in car audio and electronics. the review by bob morrow for HERTZ really impressed me. out of a total score of 100 he gave the MLK's an 87. the SUPREMO's scored an 86 by casey thorson. my question is: why spend an extra $1000 for the SUPREMO's? casey thorson said" the bass drum, which comes in after the guitar interlude, gave the impression that there's a subwoofer in this system- it's very rare that a 6.5 component set with such a well-balanced, low frequency responce". im sure the SUPREMO's sound just a little bit better but i don think their worth the extra 1000 bucks. hertz needs to get out there and really promote here in america. i think their fairly priced and very attractive. hertz is the new mb quart.

    SUBJECTIVE SCORE CHART:

OVERAL SOUND: QUALITY- SUPREMO 19, MLK 165'S 18(20 POINTS POSSIBLE)
TONAL BALANCEABOVE 80HZ) SUPREMO 9, MLK 165'S 8.5(10 POINTS POSSIBLE)
LOW FREQUENCY: EXTENSION SUPREMO 7, MLK 165'S 9.5(10 POINTS POSSIBLE)
CLARITY AT LOW VOLUME: SUPREMO 9.5, MLK 165'S 9.5(10 POINTS POSSIBLE)
CLARITY AT HIGH VOLUME: SUPREMO 9.5, MLK 165'S 9(10 POINTS POSSIBLE)
IMAGE STABILITY: SUPREMO 9, MLK 165'S 8.5(10 POINTS POSSIBLE)
LISTENING FATIGUE: (MODERATE VOLUME) SUPREMO 10, MLK 165'S 9(10 POINTS POSSIBLE)
FLEXIBILITY/ EASE OF INSTALLATION: SUPREMO 13, MLK'S 15(20 POINTS POSSIBLE

I don't see a $1000 difference in the prices you posted.

The real difference is in the buyer's head/ears. To some people the Supremo may well justify the differences in price. I'd love to see some Hertz components to see how well they're made, and maybe get a feel for their "sound", but like you mention.... they aren't very easy to find.
