Focal 165 K2p's....whats the difference?

Hey guys just wondering if anybody knew the difference between the focal 165 k2p's upgraded version or just the regular k2's???

i never saw a diffrence... the only thing i could think is they added, or did something diffrent.. or just the newer model??

well the upgraded version is a couple hundred bucks more? is it just the material of the cone?

I think upgraded versions have TN-52? vs. TN-47 or TN-51? I'm not sure, but that's what I think. I was going to ask the same question.

The upraded version has the phase plug... more midrange detail. Highly recommended.

Honestly, I think of all other focals as a downgrade... in order to offer lower priced options.

Are you certain that the K2P does not have a phase plug? I think they do.

Oh, I see now... original poster said KP. You are talking about the 165K2P and 165K2P UV

Looks like the UV will have more midbass. If they have better crossovers, that would be the biggest improvement they could make... I guess if you are going to spend that much to begin with, it would be worth it to get the UV.
