06 F-250 system help

I've come across a new work truck. I'm takin over payments on it at 475 a month for 2 yrs. Not bad and still under warranty.
I need some help putting some speakers in it. I'm lookin to spend $250 for front stage alone.
For an amp I got a Infinity 7541a. Should I ditch that before I get started? I kinda want a decent comp set. Or a good coaxil. I can't think of what I should do? Any help is apprectiated.

I will be doing my 3rd F250 now. Love the trucks hence why I have now owned 3 of them.

I now nothing about the amp you have. Can't help there.

Comps in that price range:PG Rsd, Crystals if you can find them, Alpine SPX, CDT, Cadence
Coxials-I bought a pair of the Eclipse SP5700 and they sounded good for the price, Pioneer Revs, JBL, Diamond

Fseries truck **** for systems...I own an F350.
The speaker holes are the wrong size,talking the dash apart is a PITA
because all the connections are on the dash cover and
theres no room for woofers of any depth.....I gave up on the idea.

Well I had a guy at a stereo shop tell me I should get 4 ID Q 10's. He said it would only sound like 2 10's cause of limited airspace. So is full of it or should I let him sell me 4 10's and a box for almost 1k? + an amp to power em.

I got a buddy who's got the same truck w/ 4 10" cvr's. His is loud but dosen't have hardly any low note, and it sounds muddy. So what should I do?

I know nothing about the F350. The F250 2002 up the speakers are in the doors and rear. I have owned a 2002, 2005 and now a 2006. I have never had any issues with installing speakers in them. The factory speakers are the 5x7/6x8 variaty and all you need to do is make a MDF baffle for a 61/2. You can fit a pretty deep speaker in the door with a baffle. I have used the sail panels for the tweeters they are kinda of a PITA because of the surface angle. Tweeters with flush swival mounts have worked the best.

On the superduties you can take the brackets for the rear seats. (supercrew) and flip the bracket around. It will net you about 2 inches of extra clearence behind the seat giving you enough airspace for 2 ported 10's or 1 ported 12. Port firing up using aero might be best. The location for the speakers in these trucks are just straight retarded imho. My very first install was in my dads 2001 f250 supercrew. Good space under the back seats for amps, if you want you could do like 3 12's or 4 10's. He is correct with limited space it wont hit that hard. but 4 cvx's back there would be crazy.... hookedontronics dot com they are about 155-160/e. You will need to get the dual batteries and dual alt setup from the diesel version supercrew. Because the stock charging alt on these trucks can not handle a 500/1 and 300/4 AT ALL. So shoot at replacing the under the hood battery and adding a second under the hood. (THERES ROOM). Big 3 would help as well.

You must of had a weak ALT. '98 F150 V6-1st set-up 3 RF Puch amps, 2nd Autotek AMX 100.2 bridged running 2 ohm-roughly 800 watts, JL 300/4. Never any dimming no issues. 2002-F250 5.4 V8-JL 300/4, Autotek 100.2- Never any issue. Never upgraded big 3 or a cap nothing. So you are saying the stock Alt on the F series superduty will not handle roughly 1000-1200 watts, **** a ****ing honda, VW jetta will handle that from personal experience. I have never had an issue with the stock alts or factory electrical on my '98 F150 V6, 2002 F250 V8, 2005-2006 have been diesal so thats a no brainer. If you do, do the big three first. But I do not see the factory being an issue.

I am working on three systems right now so total I have built or had built 11 systems since 1990 and not once have ever had issues with a factory electrical system. If you are building a 2000w+ SPL machine then I could see it. But a JL, JBL, RF ect 4 channel and 1 500-800w sub amp. should have no problem running of factory electrical. The big 3 three is one of the best things to do. After that you need to start looking else where before you just start throwing in a HO alt and 2 batt. with a 1000-1200w if you got it cranked and the gains all the way up.

I do not have major electrical issues. It dimms at full tilt and that pisses me off. So if it bothers anyone else when they drive down the street with the lights flashing, than I reccomend they change it up a little.

Just came accross this thread and wanted to add my .02 cents about a system in F-series. Never did a SuperyDuty, but did the below system in my '05 F-150 SCrew.

Thanks for the advice on the battery. But the truck already has 2 batteries. I will be doing the big 5 to it. I did the big 2 on my firebird and what a difference it made.
