Ok, I think Ive narrowed my choiced down between PHOENIX GOLD RSD-65CS and POLK MMC6500 components. I can get the pg for $85 shipped and the polks for $170 shipped. Are the polks worth the extra $ and would you recommend anything else under $170?

Authorized Retailer!
Utilize their 105% low price guarantee... can't be from eBay iirc, but try comparing to somewhere like woofersetc, millionbuy, or sonicelectronix and have them beat the pricing.
^ hint, hint
Should be able to get them from cardomain for about $175 shipped. Smokin deal for authorized w/warranty.

Yea the deal I got was from a ebay retailer.
Polk Momo's FTW!!
Agreed, as much as we all love the PGs, the MOMOs IMO are better!!

I have in the past without problem. Then again, it was just for some crappy cheapo passive xovers (total purchase was under $25 shipped), so I'm thinking it's has to do with what's being inquired about.
Never hurts to ask... as there is no obligation to buy if they come back saying they will or will not beat a price.

I am so glad that someone brought up this discussion. I have been trying to compare the psg's to other speakers as well (on a slight budget). I was also thinking about the crystals but everytime i call infiniteaudio I get no response. i think i will try the price match as well, but if that does not work and i am gong to spend 200 for the polks, i migt as well get the rainbows

RSD>Momo's. I have the older version of the Momos and the RSDs are in the car I drive to work. I like the older Momo set better than the the new set for the mere fact they can get louder. The RSD's have more midbass, better clarity, and more movement in the swivel of the tweeter ( better imaging )and they are cheaper. It's a no-brainer. The RSD's are very impressive. The only advantages I can see would be the Polks tweeter is louder and the set can take more power(although I haven't really pushed the RSDs like I did the Polks).

I am debating whether to get the RSD or Momos too. ANy more Opinions ?
