    Passive sets that hanlde ~400watts

    What it says, I know the Z6s handle up to 350 ish but anything that gets loud as hell that can handle that much power?

    He's NEVER going to use it all. It's going to be wasted anyway. Just get a set that sounds good knowing that you can run all the power it wants or needs to it and still have some left over and then set gains accordingly rather than basing the purchase entirely on power handling.

    - I have to agree with this. I haven't found a set I liked rated for more than 150 watts RMS.

    A couple of things though... I would not put too much stock in manufacturer power ratings... they can be wrong or sometimes inflated... Plus, they can be install/tunning/crossover setting dependant... keep in mind that most of the ratings are full range ratings... with a high pass crossover at the typical 80 - 100 HZ, component sets can typically handle about twice the rated power. Smaller sealed enclosures can often handle more power also. See what I mean?

    With a great install/set up, I would not be afraid to put up to 200 - 300 watts on something like PPI 356cs or Cerwin Vega V-Max while not draining my wallet on the purchase.
