After research I can't decide which 6.5 comp set to get. I like rock and hip hop? Looking to spend less than 200.00 and less than 150.00 would be great. I have 100 rms to put on em'.

CDT makes a ton of differant comps, what set you looking at?
probably the ef-61 series
Buyer: Thetalkingshoe, joshs98runner, theCybe, sephiroth619, chornet44, AK SloPok, Looney_Tune, 5.0, iLLest1aLive, scooter2479, SoundBarrier, tapout, jdc753, flatlander4510, etc.
Not sure on the CDTs still and thinking about Lanzar Optis and Pioneer 720's?

Eww Lanzar comps ****, i would suggest the 720PRS or the Cdt EF61FG's with fiberglass mids
720PRS if you can swing $250ish. If not, then RSd.

I am currently running a set of the Rsd's 6's, Tweets are a little harse though. other than that, good comps for the money.
Refs- Bring97, Second Skin Rep(x2), Jblanford, dbman150, Toxic Tuan, flakko, davidtemple, FJF
Those are 50w RMS, and he has 100w RMS. That's not really safe, in my opinion, unless you are very experienced with gain setting.
Regardless, I wouldn't even touch the Phoenix Golds. (At least their RSD series.) CDTs are really nice in my opinion, I'd do something like their EF-61FG's (I think they're like, two bills right now) or CL-61A's. Friend of mine actually has the CL-61A's with TW-25 tweeters, they sound really smooth, and I think they're in your budget.

That must be install dependant. Me and my buddy installed a set in his car and although the tweet was medicore in my opinion the midbass/mid range was nothing short of spectacular. Beats the mid bass in any out of the box set I've ever heard including the SSCS6, Boston Z6, most of the mid-lowe line CDT lines, etc.
pioneers over tha cdt's ??? baahahahaa... ok... your choice...
