component install help
so i have a Lexus Sc400 and it seems to be a real pain to get something sounding really good in this car, im going to gut out all the factory speakers and install 6.5 components up front, deaden....
this is what it looks like

now i am going for the best sq i can get out of this car without going crazy. I am leaning towards a pair of rainbow slc-265 kicks up front ran on an alpine 2 channel putting out 180wx2
now looking at my set up with the mids located where they are and the tweeter located in the sail panel. hypothetically how would it sound? am i fighting my car's setup?
also are rainbows meant for free air or do i need to create an enclosure?
im going to be running this off an eclipse cd7000 or 7100 if i can spring the money. Should i run active and get a 4 channel alpine amp?

Re: component install help
ok guys im in need of some serious help, i have decided to go active instead of passive after reading countless threads. so far here is what i am going for
head unit : eclipse cd7000
amps: http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...model=MRP-F550
or
http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...model=MRP-F450
which i know i can get for cost..not sure about the 550 but its only 20w
for my sub
http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...model=MRP-M850
sub
http://www.tcsounds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1013
tc10oem
in a sealed box
now im trying to figure out what to do as far as mid and high go, im going 2-way and my budget is around 200-250 i want sq for rock (NO RAP) so i need tight accurate mid and clear not too harsh highs can someone lead the way with the power i can put to them
going into this location
http://www.clublexus.com/gallery/sho...=98582&cat=502
i was going to do a passive setup using rainbow slc265 kicks but after reading how much success people have going active and knowing my head unit is capable of it, i think it is the choice.
thanks in advance guys
