It would be nice to have a 2 ohm comp set to get the most out of amps that get more power at 2 ohms. I know you can bride to get the power if you have a 4 ch amp. Seems 2 ohm or dvc would make sense to get the most of 4 ch amps too?

I believe ID has a component with 2 ohm version.

The increase in power delivered is usually offset by the decrease in efficiency because of the reduced length of wire in the magnetic gap and the corresponding decrease in motor strength. Roughly half the wire means roughly half the Bl means roughly half the efficiency. Since no amps actually make 2x the power into half the load the overall result is a loss in output despite an increase in power.

Your ability to buy expensive audio equipment does NOT make you an "audiophile"
also, most, if not all, headunits dont have an internal amp capable of playing down to 2 ohms..

Real speakers are meant for real amps, not HU power. Higher end component makers could give a rat's *** about what a HU "amp" can or can't do. Nothing to do with the lack of 2 ohm mids.

Who the hell puts components on HU power?
