Did you just say you're going to power them on your HU? I'd recommend some...random *** **** in that case. Read: don't bother spending money on good 6.5 components if you can't afford to amplify them properly.

Re: best sounding 6 1/2 speakers?

if they are just running off the HU, you probably aren't going to get the sound you want. i don't think it's worth it to pay a lot of money for speakers that you aren't going to amp. i would just get whatever is cheap.

Re: best sounding 6 1/2 speakers?

As mentioned by pat and darren... Point is, nobody makes "good sounding 6.5's" that can run off of HU power and be classified that way. 6.5" components do not receive enough power from any HU i've ever seen to actually sound 'good'. Sure, they'll sound...they just won't sound good. Most HU's can push...15, maybe 20 watts RMS at their bleeding edge. 15 watts is pathetic for a 6.5" component set. My 1" tweeters alone likely pull more than 10-15w. It's a great way see how badly you can push the HU into clipping at least...
