Type-Rs ****. Muddy midbass and harsh tweeters. MB Quarts have a reputation for having harsh tweeters as well. Do yourself a favor and pick up some 6.5" Phoenix Gold RSD components. You'll have to make some adaptors from MDF, but you should have an MDF baffle anyway if you put in comps.

The RSD comps are some of the best budget comps ive heard. The can be had for right around 100$ on ebay

Yeah, the RSDs really can't be beat for the price tag. You can easily spend the same amount of money on a good set of coaxs. PG has really been outdoing themselves lately.

agreed on the RSd's. Search for some reviews and you'll realize how awesome the midbass can be.
