Thanks for the help on my Daughter's speakers!

Finished the tune on the Sony HU today and she is all smiles. This thing plays amazing! You guys suggested getting the Reference series Pioneers to replace her stock Cavalier pieces and I couldn't be happier!

Started out using these adapters:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=330034593166 so we could go from the 4x6 stock pieces to a 6.5.

Used these 6.5's:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=180026927485 in the doors and they play just amazing! They sound almost equal to my CDT's on HU power

Used these 6x9's:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Pioneer-6x9-TS-D...QQcmdZViewItem in the rear deck and they also play amazing on just HU power. Sound as good as the Focals I have in my Honda and paid too much for!

Used this HU:

It has so many good features to tune with and options. On a CD it outplays my Eclipse.

So for under $500 I made the goal of putting her a real good system in her car. After some more time under her belt I will probably add a mono amp and a 12 or give her mine and me move up. I think hers with my sub and amp = > my setup

Thanks for the atta-boy! I can't find the thread to thank the specific people that gave me the advice but hopefully they know who they are. Her riding in my last couple of cars with systems has spoiled her and me where I don't think we could just go with a normal set of paper speakers and an AC Delco tape deck. I guess that is why I am on here some trying to see what is what. It kind of gets in your blood and I really didn't know exactly how her setup would perform since she is used to listening to the system in my Honda but she was totally happy after we tuned it today. I don't even think she wants an amp or sub at this point because it bumps pretty good! Nothing like spoiling your kids to a degree!
