I bought a set of kenwood components a while back but havent installed em yet or even hooked em up for very long at all. Are they any good? Can they handle a good amount of power? Thoughts? BTW they are (iirc) the KFC-P707 or something like that

Only one way to find out: Listen to them yourself. Throw them in there and let us know how it goes.
Depends on the model
I had a pair of the $170 components best buy used to carry, and loved them.
Last summer i tried their flagship xxv-04s high-end speakers, and didn't like them at all. Great tweeters, but the woofers were more of a midrange than a midbass, they were too airy and light, and didn't have much of a punch.
Overall, there's better for the money, but they're not terrible.
the larger 7in XXV were nice but a little too midbass emphasized.
