...A universal 6"x8" to 5 1/4" adapter, and something like this:

I really don't want to have to order this and wait on shipping, so I'd like to just go to Autozone or something?

Even the Ford power adaptor thing? That's what I'm most concerned about finding locally.
EDIT:
Oh, and these are for those MB Quarts that I believe you suggested. I can't wait to hear them!
I dunno man, if you have a local Best Buy they carry them. The local small shops should have them too I think. They arent exactly a rare Item

Not only do I have no idea HOW to build a baffle (or even what it is...), I want to get these speakers in quick, because I'm sick of waiting >_<
If Best Buy has them, that's great, becuase I'm probably going to the mall tomorrow and BB is like right next to it.

I'm not too familiar with fords but is it too hard to fish some 14 guage through the door is is the wire harness serving a different purpose.
If Best Buy or Cicuit City don't have these in stock, they can probably special order them but you'll be back at square one waiting for them to arrive.
And since you don't like cutting, any custom car audio shop will most likely be able to build you some custom MDF baffles. Be warned that they will be overpriced though.
A couple of hunters are out in the woods when one of them falls to the ground. He doesn't seem to be breathing, his eyes are rolled back in his head. The other guy whips out his cell phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps to the operator: "My friend is dead! What can I do?" The operator, in a calm soothing voice says: Just take it easy. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead? There is a silence, then a shot is heard. The guy's voice comes back on the line. He says: "OK, now what?"
What do I need baffles for? What will they do?

you will find No universal plastic baffles at my shop. we custom fit/make em all.
The adapter rings you are looking for are also called baffles, thats what people are refering to

What's the difference in a custom-made and universal baffle? Aren't the sizes the same for all speakers (like all 6"x8" have some holes, all 5 1/4" have same mounting holes)?
the universal baffles are usually thin plastic pieces. custom baffles can be made to specific depth. for instance u may be installing a driver too large for the factory location and a 3/4 baffle may be necessary to reach clearance. and a wooden baffle is much better at holding a screw down tight compared to a piece of plastic.

Alright guys, I have them installed, and they sound EXCELLENT O.o
I talked to a guy at a shop (Sound Advice) in Baton Rouge and he just sold some little clip things, so I just snipped the wire and use those (no expensive $20 cable adapters). We used wood instead of that universal crap as well (nobody had them locally, so my dad just got some leftover wood from the addons to his store). Like I said, they sound GREAT, and I can't wait to get my 2 Assassin 8"s in there to get the bass going too![]()
