    Good pair of Coaxials?

Can anyone recommend a good pair of 5x7 coaxials? I have Infinity Kappas now, but I'm looking for something with a smoother tweeter. I listen to mostly heavy metal with an occasional rap song here and there. I tuned them down to -3db, but that hasn't really taken much away from the harshness of the tweets. I really don't want to get components, because I don't know how long I'll have my car for.

I know Boston Accoustics makes a plate speaker that acts like a component speaker. Has anyone had experience with those? I guess I'm looking for a powerful speaker with a smooth tweeter that won't get all jumbled when the guitars crunch. My budget is probably around $200 - $250. Thanks

For that budget, Crystal makes some nice 5x7's...or you could enlarge the hole slightly and go with 6.5's.

But if you're getting "crunched" sounds with really dynamic music, that sounds more like you're using head unit power instead of a proper amplifier

I don't really want to make any cuts, because I'm going to hopefully put the stock speakers back in when I sell the car. My amp isn't anything great, Audiobahn 6004T. I know it's not the greatest amp, but I got a really good deal on it.
