Diamond d3 or alpine type-rs

What do you guys think is better the diamond d3s or the alpine type-rs?

d3's sound better, type r's are louder, take your pick. oh, and type r's are more power hungry.

i'm giving my d361 speakers 180 watts each. they actually sound pretty nice for a cheap set, however the midbass is a bit weak. they get pretty loud.

i think he was refering to the woofers. i feel that they have got exceptional midbass for a coaxial, but they arent nearly as loud as others.
i run 8 of them in my boat with a zapco 1000.4 on them giving them roughly 125 watts each, oh and with a zapco SP4 EQ.

Weird, on the same amp, same power my brothers D3's are louder and with more detailed top end than the TypeR's he replaced'm with.

My bro uses an RF PowerT8002 on his. Rated for 125 x 2rms, likely puts out around what you are giving yours- however his midbass is substantial, pretty impressive for a low line set. Sometimes those thngs vary from car to car.

yeah.. i think the top end is pretty nice for the price. very crisp sound.

I have been rather impressed with mine so far (d361) I'm giving them 80 watts and like the crispness of the top end, however I can't really comment on the midbass as I haven't deadened my doors yet and they're rattling pretty badly at the moment.
