Some have them external , and some have them built in. But most don't have crossovers , just caps and coils if that .

It is typically a single capacitor on the back side of the speaker connected to the tweeter leads to filter out the undesirable frequencies.
Better coaxials may have a small crossover network in the speaker wire with a large piece of heatshrink around it with leads for the woofer and tweeter coming out of it.
