Where's the Crossover in Coaxial Speakers?

Where's the crossover in coaxial speakers? I've seen a bunch of different coaxial speakers, but I've never seen any crossover electronics on them.

Some have them external , and some have them built in. But most don't have crossovers , just caps and coils if that .

Re: Where's the Crossover in Coaxial Speakers?

It is typically a single capacitor on the back side of the speaker connected to the tweeter leads to filter out the undesirable frequencies.

Better coaxials may have a small crossover network in the speaker wire with a large piece of heatshrink around it with leads for the woofer and tweeter coming out of it.

Or if you're MB Quart, you build Xovers large enough to be the power supply section of most amps

And oddly no different from the comp sets using the same drivers...
