Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.5 Component Speakers..

Hello,
i was lookin on ebay and found a set of these for about $185 is this the best speaker for the price?
also i was going to use the kappa 63.7i 6-1/2 3way coax... for about 80, or any other recomendations that are around these price ranges? thanks

Look elsewhere, infinity highs are horrible imo. See if you can find a pair of pg xenon comps, or even the zr set.

I owned kappas before man, they weren't worth what i paid for them

hit up 6spdcoupe and get the rainbow slcs for like 220 shipped

Much better, people give rave reviews of them

Yes you can get better, but I run the kappa 6.5 for front stage. Don't believe that stuff that they sound like crap. Mine are wicked loud and sound great. My decision to run them was largely based on they are 2 ohm speakers, and thats how my system is set up. Evrything to run at 2 ohms. Just depends on what you are looking to do!

i see, i didnt think about that... what is the benifit of running every thing 2 or 4 ohm

You obviously haven't heard good speakers before

I think Inifinity is the worst company in the market right now for Car Audio. There isn't a benefit of running somethin' at 2 ohms comparing to 4 ohms. It makes no difference what so ever.

I would highly lookin' into those Rainbows, Diamond Audio Hex's, or Polk Momo MMC6500's.

Quite comical. If you think they are the worst on the market, you should listen too some fine quality that wal-mart has to offer. Humm... As far as the benifit you were asking about 2 ohms, don't know if there is any, i just wanted to keep all ohm levels the same that the amp was seeing.

Most of us on the boards wouldn't consider any car audio from Wal-Mart car audio at all.

Go with some Rainbows or Diamonds (as suggested above).

I'd strongly suggest against infinity's of any kind at any price.

Do it right.

The polkmomo's sound a hell of a lot better than the infinity kappa's period.
