    Icon32 Soundstream or MbQuart's?

Hi all I need some advice from you experts. I need some 6.5 comps for my truck,
(02' chev. ext cab) my price range is under $150shipped. I have narrowed down my choice to these two....

    Mbquart RCE216
    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_700.html

    Soundstream TRC.6
    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5442.html

They will be amped with around 100+watts each. I have a AA Assassin 10 in a sealed box (on the way) that will complement the comps with about 400w/rms going to it. My over all goal is sound quality.

If you guys feel that neither of these are good choices feel free to make some suggestions, just try and keep it under $150 as this is stretching it for me at this time. Thanx all in advance for your help/suggestions. Hunter121

I have the PCE's in my car which are a model up and I love them. Everyone who has ever rode in my car liked them. At first midbass was lacking, but once I buiilt the pods they were money.

    Re: Soundstream or MbQuart's?

I had the RCE's in my truck and they sounded good, but didn't take as much power as I would have liked. Although at high volumes they didn't break up and the only way I could tell they were at the limit was because they have lights on the crossovers that warn you. I added the RCE midbass speakers, so I had those and the RCE comps on my doors and it sounded really nice.

    Re: Soundstream or MbQuart's?

Hi guys thanks for the replys, after doing some more research I decided that the soundstreams were out due to the decline in quality, and the over all opinion on the mbquarts were that they have harsh tweeters so the are also out.

I decided to go with some Polk DB6500 comps due to the softer tweet and all the positive reviews. Thanx again for all the help, I appreciate it. Hunter121
