i cant comment on the mid-bass since my kick pods werent sealed at all so there was major cancellation.
but overall i loved them especially for the price.

Someone have pics of these? Curious to see how large they actually are.
i have heard that they use the same basket as the xxx but it uses a neo motor that is pretty small.Originally Posted by zachzchw
still just a hair over 3" depth
i would imagine they will be a step down from the xxx unless the xxx dont fit in your application.

they do well for 2-way depending on what tweeter you run. tweeter's are the biggest problem i used to run into with an active 2-way.

Didnt know they used the same basket........and thats still significant mounting depth. They are much lighter, though.....
Definitely think Ill pick a pair of these up if I can get rid of the XXX mids.

I was one of the first people to get them, even before they were released on the site.
Used them in my truck active, in ~.2cubes sealed. Great tonality, good midbass, extend well even till around 3.5kHz, overall great speakers. Can't argue much for the price.
Bout to put my XXX6.5's back in though, these were bought for home stereo use...

In that fashion, running 2way... yes it would be stupid.Originally Posted by iamamp3pimp

In my truck I have sealed fiberglass door pods I made about a year ago...
