    Ef-61cf

Can this speaker component set handle 180 watts RMS? I have a Diamond Audio D3 400.4. It will put out 182 X 2 Watts RMS.

Yeah I saw the site, I was just wondering if they can put the extra power to use and not blow.

    Re: Ef-61cf

just be careful with the gains to avoid clippage. and make sure you upgrade xovers from the 400 if your're using more than 100W/channel...

    Re: Ef-61cf

Well they are 140w RMS and you have 182.... once you sert the gains conservativley and are playing music I doubt the speakers will see more than 140w.... you'll be fine... I always like to have headroom on my amps, when the gains are low the amp doesn't work nearly as hard as it is designed too...

just because your amp does 180 doesn't mean you have to put out 180. clipping damages more speakers then overpowering
