Component Speaker Suggestions

I need suggestions on a top of the line component speaker set...Thanx

What size?
Application? ... doors, kick panels, pods ...
How much power will you be running?
Willing to go DIY with a custom crossover?

Budget will ultimately determine the "top of the line" for that specific range.

As always, I still suggest listening to as many different sets in your price range in as many different applications as possible to get a feel for what is out there and what sound you like. After all, we won't be listening to these every day.

Thanx.....I have a jl audio 300/4 for my highs and mids...I'm looking for comps for my front door panels 6.5". I also have 6x9 in the rear...I have a 4 door and there are speaker panels on my back doors...should I put comps in there too or go with coaxials in there?? and I am willing to spend any amount as long as the speakers sound great...

I would go CDT ES-600 using the US500XT crossover and drt-26 or 25 tweets. For the rear just get some Tang Band 6.5 subwoofers in the 6x9 openings and use some 4in speaker in the door or 5.25.
