Focal vs Bose

I've recently obtained a almost fully restored 73 mercury cougar. Im going to be workin on it here soon, and was starting to think about audio. Well, I've searched around asked a few people i know, and they say Focal is the best for clarity in comp speakers. My father is a brand name type of guy and says bose is the best. So if anyone can clear this up, it would help greatly. If there are other suggestions for component speakers that might be clearer please tell me. Just wanting a really clear system that will last a good long time.

bose in mobile is a joke. for home stuff, it's ok but way overpriced. but in cars it's just a joke. there's a reason sooooo many people REMOVE the bose stuff that comes in their car no highs, no lows... must be bose

There is no "best".

There are multiple brands can are capable of sounding very good, however.

All depends on your budget, power, space, etc.

Lets put it this way. Im going to put a **** load of work and cash into this car so the stereo is going to be honkin right along with it. Just need it to last a good long time also. I wont be abusing the speakers in any way, but I'm looking for near perfect quality. Looked at Lotus, are there any others in that range up there?

i never said it was good i can think of about a thousand things worse than bose, it's not at the absolute bottom of the list, but i wouldn't buy it.

Does Bose even offer speakers for car audio? I know they do OEM but do they have components and such? I've never seen any, then again I have never looked for them.

I've never heard a Bose setup that's impressed me, even if price wasn't a factor.
