the silver flute one looks best to me.
My money is on the Dayton, not becaues of the looks though! But that ID is a very clear midbass...I just think you'll get more of a response from the Dayton

Since you can't tell crap from a photo I'm gonna say we need to see some freq. response graphs or at the least a waterfall decay plot.

I make rear-loaded, double crabshell, isobaric enclosures.
****, those Silver Flutes are gorgeous.
Those Silver Flutes look amazing! Their frequency response is awesome too. I wish I had extra money to blow on a pair.

I would use them all.....all at once.

Nope.
I'd run them horizontally across the headliner, right above the seats.
It would rock.
You just don't know.
Seriously though....if you have all 3, why don't you try them out yourself and see which one you like better?
I think they're like $40 shipped from madisound.Originally Posted by azazel
More like $50, but I just blew over $100 on the Daytons, tweeters, and a lot of inductors and capacitors and Aura bass shakers...I don't think that a pair of Silver Flutes is in my budget.Originally Posted by sephiroth619
strong*I*bumpin, Can you do me a huge favor and measure the Daytons for me?
I just picked up a set of 6.5" Tang Band w6 woofers and they measure at 7". My 8" Dayton References measure at barely under 9". wtf?
All my car audio speakers, like my 6.5" CDT EF woofer measure at exactly 6.5". Same with my OZs.
Where are you measuring?Originally Posted by sephiroth619
I have Dayton 6 inch Rs's And i was thinking about switching to Cx62's. right now the Daytons are only getting 50 or so watts. I fiqured switching to cx62's ill get alittle more cone area and they could get up to 200 watts. It would be matched up with a Dayton Rs tweeter and kicker 800.4. i like the daytons but they just dont keep up with the sub and the highs as far as Loudness goes.
That's a shame to hear. I was gonna get some Dayton 6" RSs to match my Dayton RS tweeters. Seems like a lot of people are going this route lately.Originally Posted by mega1268
I guess I'm gonna get a different mid.
