I dont think the ti elites are very new. I like the sets i have, but they could use a little in the midbass area, i suppose thats why they make the 9's.

I ran em for a bit, but theres much better available for the money. Especially considering you could buy the mids at a fraction of the cost from PE

Actually, they are still pricey on PE.

I have a set running of 75 watts per channel. The midrange is great. mid-bass is decent. I have mine crossed @ 100 hz & are a little punchy. the tweeter sounds good, except it does lack a little sparkle, not to say it's bad, but could be better. typical of a silk dome. on the other hand, tweeter's don't fatigue when reproducing vocals, nor do they hiss or stress your ears like some metal tweets would.

overall, they are pleasing to listen to & are capable of sounding better then kappa perfects, low end boston, kicker rs , mb quart from my experiences. I haven't been able to hear any other component set, so this is all I can compare it too. Hope this helps
