it would be in your best interest to get an amp
crunktimes . com/ct
you can use head unit, but i would recomend amp for sure.
Def go with an amp if you get them, is 1/2 half the game of good sound.
I like Infinity because they replace ANYTHING for most ANY reason on warranty, from the Kappa Perfect Series anyway... Not read up on them lately but I would get them. Heard good things about rainbows too.

Mine are good-- not if you needed them yesterday though -- would take a bit over a week... being in school kinda slows things down a bit... Hope mike likes my religion of speakers
as he would speed things up a LOT

Very good in my opinion. I'm currently running 2 Pioneer TS-A6961R 6x9's in QLogic sealed boxes behind my seat and they're awesome for mids and highs. I'm running them off of only the head unit and am very happy. They get loud with no distortion and if you threw about a 50x2 or 60x2 RMS amp in front of them they would really shine, but I'll just end up adding a sub so I'm not going to do that personally. Paid only about $80 for them from Crutchfield. You do get decent bass from them but they don't thump like a sub. Great for alternative rock and anythign with deep guitar tones but not for rap. If you're on a bit of a limited price range I would absolutely suggest them, plus they look cool!what abt pioneer component speaker system ?
no good ?![]()
Of course you could spend more and get better but these are awesome for the price.
they are alright. but if it makes any difference i am going to be getting the new zapco components when i can afford them. anyway, in my truck i have 150 watts per side. i only run one set of components by the way. i know they can take more power though.Originally Posted by newdavid
when i have time to play i am going to throw a 500/1 on each side and see how it sounds though. i think i will leave it like that because i am going to buy my zapco bass amp first, then a highs amp.
