i readed a book that say the best placement way is to have 6x9"s on the rear deck and the tweeters mounted up front and the mid-ranges mounted in the dash and the woofers can to mounted in the front doors down low

is this true? this is the best speaker placement

    Re: speaker placement

    Well....not really.

I'd honestly question the validity of the book if it recommended to run rear fill

What book we talking about here?

    Re: speaker placement

the biggest trick with speaker placement is getting equal pathlengths. That's the key to good imaging, which is why people care about placement in the first place.

    Well then, that explains it......

I've flipped through those before. They seemed decent on explaining how to do the simple install type stuff (replace speakers, etc). But I wouldn't listen to too much they say on the technical, acoustical aspect of car audio.
