    mounting ring..

hi guys. not im planning on using 3/4 mdf ring to mount my front door speakers to my metal of the door. now he 3/4 in, is to thick i think so it may interfere with the door panel coz of the coaxial tweet in the center sticking out. can i simply just cut the ring in half?? does it matter the thickness of the ring?? thx!

We make them. You can buy em from crutchfield for some cars but they are limited. For example the ones they sell for my car only allow for a speaker with a 5 1/8" cut out which is fine for infinity 6.5"s and a few others but wont fit my diamonds or alpine components.

as you can see from the pic (using the supplied diamond speaker grill) how much bigger the crutchfield/scotsh sp? adapter (sitting below the grill) would have to have been for them to work. The actual speaker didn't come close to sitting flush in the adapter
