Bose Tweeters Any GooD?????

I have some Bose tweeters that came out of a 2003 Yukon Denali that were given to me. I was wondering are they worth using? I was going to build my own component system for my truck using these tweeters and buying seperate xovers and midbass speakers. What do you think, are they worth using?

does bose even use any drivers that actually cost more than $0.89cents and try to sell you on "acoustic technology and design"? Dont know what they use for car speakers but its the only company I know you can pay $1000 for two 3" full range whizer raw paper cone driver that parts express will sell you for $1.05. Point being even if you were convinced to use Bose it would be for their acoustic tuning (BS as well) not their crappy drivers.

i thought all bose used were those fvcking 4" drivers they put in EVERYTHING. bose makes me sick. id rather have just about anything than them.

my stock 4.5" BOSE fronts/rears in my Z sound fine to me..

Bose does have some decent sounding equipment. The only way to decide if you want to keep them, is liten to them and see if you like them.

i wouldn't use a company that doesn't publish freq response specs... i've read a test of one of their newer HT systems, and i think it only did ~40hz to 13,000khz. They advertise their bass thing as an "acousticmass" thing cuz it can't be called a subwoofer, because it has to cover for what the little drivers can't reproduce. On top of that, they advertise that they put (3) 5.25inch drivers in them and point them differently so you can't where the sound is coming from(if it were a true system you could put the single sub anywhere u wanted lol)

yes they make decent sounding stuff, but you'd be a lot better off taking the $1,200 spent on a bose and spend it building your own setup instead, and it would sound better than any bose. notice that no one in pro audio uses bose(studio moniters, concert halls, movie theaters, etc?)

bose is one of those companies that does good installs with crap components...

its like they buy OEM pyle before its badged and try to make it sound good lmao.

they shoudl be SQ competitors.. if they actually used decent drivers they could win some comps...
