X2. Right after you left they started SPL contest!!! I will post vids later after i get off work. f*cking thing lasted til 5pm. They took an hour long break in between 1st and second runs for everyone, but it was nice to close the bay doors and sit in the A/C Oh get this **** Subzero- the sheriff came to warn The Specialist/Dave that someone had complained 3 times about the noise

................... i went down to tuson and it was my first time goin to a show like this, was nice cars and i saw a lot of audio but mainly i wanted to hear the spl competition. went there at 11 looked around and asked when the spl comp would go. the dude said about 2 hours so we let and came back and everybody was gone. guess it was the hour long break......

Sure did. 1st place on my class. The 18's are out of the truck now, waiting on my new system to arrive.

Why the switch from 18s to 12s? I'm hoping to get my sx's reconned soon, but it won't be b4 the 6/6 USACI show ! I can't belive MECA won't let anyone use cd's with cursing or foul language to use on their runs! http://www.mecacaraudio.com/2010rulebook.pdf

2. Competitor must play musical track(s), (i.e. songs) in which the bass notes vary and are not sustained for the entire pass. No tones, sweeps, and/or bass only
tracks. The TermLab “spectrum analyzer” will be displayed and used to determine that bass notes are not sustained.
3. Competitors must use commerically available music tracks. Burnt CD’s, iPods, MP3 players, etc. will be allowed at 1X, 2X, and 3X contests, however, at
MECA World Finals ONLY original mass produced CD’s may be used.
4. Competitors who opt to use a CD Changer or Multi CD head unit must remove all other CD’s to ensure that the Judges are able to verify the CD being
used for their “Drive-by SPL Parade” test.
5. Competitors may only use one source unit during pass.

7. Lyrics in song may not include any foul or offensive language.

I can bury my mids and highs with my sub stage. I could play any song and nobody would hear a dirty word during the show... not that I plan on attending any more MECA shows on purpose...

I want to go up in there and blast sum 2livecrew or tooshort. But, I'd have to barrow your trucks... Or I could put a 12 in my car that can take 2kwrms.... But my box isnt a high output box... better make that sub special....

Whats this best install award? These scores dont look much louder then I had in my last comp. Where is the mic placed again???

The mic is on a stand in the seat of the vehicle. It's like 24" up from the seat and 20" from the windshield.

Mic goes on either driver or passenger side (ur choice) seat,it's on a stand 20 inches from windshield faced forward.Check out the 1st video i posted from the comp in the s-10, the mic is on the passenger seat. The MECA rules say 150 db being the highest for SPL & 135 db for drive by

Them sum good #'s for one 15. I took one amp off the 12 and bridged it to 1 ohm. so we shal see how it does Saturday. Anyone know where to find mini Anaolg fuses.
