Why the hell is everyone saying it was a great time. Not being able to demo does not sound like a good time Wonder if this will be the new standard

i had a good time because i spent time with my family, and got to know some people quite well.

also talked to a few people from the boards, and its always nice putting a name to a face.

I agree. I would have been pissed if I was a vendor such as Sundown, Incriminator, etc... Demoing shows people what their products are capable of. I suddenly don't feel so bad about missing this

Ill be around next year though. Will definately be doing some Bassboxing at the shows from now on. ***** I didnt have my van ready in time.

didnt go this year, hit up the beach more instead. doesn't seem like it was as good as last year from what ive heard.

next year i'd prob have my jeep walled and if there's no demoing allowed again, i wont give a ****! and let er rip

Did you hear the little hatchback hit a 170 in the Iasca lane? He didn't make any audible noise until 165db & even at 170 it sounded like a door speaker with engine noise.

I know man! When he hit I saw that 170 I was like WTF! He had a Soundstream 15k that spanned the entire back of the car right? And the stack of orange memphis baskets outside his car?

It was mentioned in another thread, but not in this one. What was the rules for demoing, did they give you guys a bunch of sh it about it

First thing Saturday morning when we were pulling in to park Jay (white magnum) turned his on (just barely on not anywhere close to loud) and was immediately shut down. We were told not to demo at all and if we did we would be disqualified and ejected from the competition. Their exact words were "This is a competition, not an exhibition." I thought that was pretty dumb. We asked about how were we supposed to test and was told that we should have been ready when we got there. A lot of us just cranked it anyways but only for short periods at a time.
