Sounds fine...I've mostly played 30hz+ but did a few sweeps and never got any funny noises. You will need to be careful below tuning in your over sized box.. you could probably easily bottom that sub out. I've yet to bottom them out..but my enclosure is a little smaller and I don't have a lot of power. Upping the power soon so ill see what happens.
Nice work on the score g6. Ya think its got more in it? :)
Its possible its bottoming out...or maybe you're getting "coil rock" or something since the enclosure is so large.. not sure. Just be careful with it. :D yeah I don't play too low often either..but its fun to see how low ya can go sometimes. Going to be installing a new amp soon. More power+ adjustable subsonic filter. Going to see what the 8s can do in the low 20hz region. Lol ill be careful with them though. :P
Actually quote from some guy on another forum, this is what I hear when I get closer to the 25hz range
I don't have flared (or aeros) they're just straight tubes. Maybe its port noise.Quote:
Fluttering is air noise as it gets ****** in and out of the port. Flared ports help reduce this noise, but can still be there
Hear ya, but I am more interested in SQL, not so much in getting loud.
OP's results were impressive enuff to get me excited, tho...but I doubt I can expect to do much more than low 130's.
No room for porting the way I am planning my install, anyway: stealth boxes under rear seats, and having to custom build outta fiberglass since MDF would only give me between .69 and .74 cubes due to thickness
