    Re: Cadence wire

CCA was made to cut down on the cost for wiring -- the downside is that aluminum isn't as conductive as copper

    Re: Cadence wire

If you were referring to me, I wasn't talking about front stage wiring but all wiring in general. I see locals around here running 16g to their subs and they are running 1000w+ and it honestly scares...

    Re: Cadence wire

Not as important for speaker wire because the voltage is so much higher, current isn't a big deal. Plus, knu's 10g is $0.85/ft plus shipping, the cadence wire is $0.50/ft shipped if you get 20ft...

    Re: Cadence wire

The 8g power wire is dirt cheap, just use that and put some bolts on the side of your box with ring terminals on the end of the wire

    Re: Cadence wire

I would just like to chime in with the fact that the reason we run larger wires isn't because it is potentially louder, but because it's for safety. Pushing a wire's limits is asking for trouble and...

Yep, same for the black wire. Luckily I wanted to run blue wire in the first place anyways, so...lucky me! lol

    Re: Cadence wire

I wasn't going to say that but a weak or bad battery could have possibly been the cause of it. Idk just throwing around ideas here

What battery do you use? Cause the first thing I always do is replace the batt with something that's AGM

    Re: Cadence wire

Hmm that's strange. Idk I've just never had that problem and the temperature up here fluctuates like crazy so I don't suppose that is a contributing factor

Guess it's a good thing my big 3 is in 2/0 lol. I'll just make sure to make my connections tight then. Probably just check them every couple months

    Re: Cadence wire

Yeah but it uses a higher amount of copper than most CCA wire does, so it's like a halfway point. Personally, all I've ever used was 1/0 CCA and I've never had issues with it.

Nah it's not a bad smell it just has that new packaging smell to it. Kinda hard to not have a smell to it when all of the wire is in a giant warehouse lol

    Re: Cadence wire

OFC is overhyped, imo. You can do 2-3 runs of this wire for the same price as most OFC and get an extra 200A of current flow

    Cadence wire

Picked up a 17' run of Cadence 1/0 from AudioSavings.com and I'll admit I was a bit skeptical about the size of it since I got it for so cheap. However this wire is some great stuff. True 1/0, I...
